Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking a Survey Technician II to perform routine ground-based utility inspections, collect pole and conductor data, and document field findings. The role requires independent work with minimal supervision, accurate data management, and readiness to support crew operations on diverse sites.

Travel is frequent across multiple project locations, with a strong emphasis on safety, data quality, and adherence to client standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1.5 years of field survey or related experience.
• Familiarity with T&D infrastructure and utility equipment.
• Proficiency with tablets, laptops, and field data collection apps.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground-based pole inspections and document data per standards.
• Capture field photos and conductor observations with accuracy.
• Operate LiDAR equipment and manage field data daily.
• Provide field logistics support to UAS crews and assist with crew setup/breakdown.
• Maintain safety and quality while traveling between sites.
