Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) seeks a Field Technician to support geospatial projects across sites. You will assist in identifying utilities and control points from plans and perform field data collection using various surveying tools and equipment.

You will operate equipment, travel for extended periods, and work outdoors in all seasons. The role offers growth through certification programs and a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR standards.
• Ability to travel for extended periods.
• Work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain while carrying equipment.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and assist others.
• Load/unload equipment and tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying utilities, structures, and control points from plans and in the field.
• Maintenance of assigned tools and equipment.
• Assist in implementing approved traffic control plans.
• Develop skills for certification programs and advancement.
• Operate vacuum truck and related tools and equipment.
• Drive commercial motor vehicles.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
