Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) seeks a field technician to assist in locating utilities and structures on plans and in the field, while operating survey tools and maintaining equipment. The role supports implementation of traffic control plans and data collection for projects across multiple sites.

The candidate will work outdoors in all seasons, travel as needed, and pursue certifications for career advancement within SAM, a leader in geospatial and construction-phase solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and meet company MVR standards.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to walk on uneven terrain with surveying gear.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying utilities, structures and control points on plans and in the field.
• Operate and maintain survey tools and equipment as required.
• Assist in implementing approved traffic control plans.
• Pursue certification programs for advancement.
• Record data accurately in the field using surveying equipment.
• Operate vacuum truck and related tools; drive commercial vehicles.
