Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a field-oriented team member to assist on plans, maps, and in the field with utilities and control points. You’ll operate equipment, drive CMVs, and support data collection under varied weather conditions.

This role emphasizes safety, physical stamina, and reliable travel, with opportunities to advance through certification programs and specialized training. Office time may occur for trainings and coordination, otherwise field work is the norm.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company MVR standards.
• Ability to travel for extended periods.
• Work outdoors under varied weather.
• Ability to walk and carry surveying equipment on uneven terrain.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist others with loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying utilities, structures and control points on plans and in the field.
• Perform operator level maintenance on assigned tools and equipment.
• Assist in implementing approved traffic control plans.
• Support advancement through certification programs.
• Record data of marked utilities and control points in the field.
• Operate vacuum truck and related tools; drive commercial vehicles.
• Other tasks as assigned.
