Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Survey Field Technician I to load and unload equipment, assist on job sites, and perform field measurements. The role involves extensive walking across diverse terrain, sometimes through water, with occasional overnight travel.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, can lift 50 pounds, and is willing to travel daily. Training is available; a valid Commercial Driver’s License is a plus, and background checks and drug screening are

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, carry, and operate equipment as needed on the project.
• Ability to travel daily; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Can work unsupervised when required.
• Walking outdoors long distances through varied terrain and conditions (heat, cold, hills, swamps, wildlife & insects, high traffic areas).
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screening are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment from truck and carry equipment.
• Cut line with brush axe.
• Run level rod to obtain elevations.
• Hold prism pole for horizontal positions.
• Significant walking over varied terrain and water; overnight travel may be required.
