Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking a Survey Field Technician I in North Carolina. The role involves loading/unloading equipment, cutting lines with a brush axe, and taking elevations with a level rod. You will often walk long distances in varied terrain and may travel overnight as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 pounds, and a willingness to train. CDL is a plus, and background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, carry, and operate equipment as needed on the project.
• Ability to travel daily. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Can work unsupervised when required.
• Walking outdoors for long periods through varied terrain and conditions.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment from truck and carry equipment.
• Cut line with brush axe.
• Run level rod to obtain elevations.
• Hold prism pole for horizontal positions.
• Overnight travel may be required.
