Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a Survey Field Technician I to assist with field operations at various sites in Texas. You will load and unload equipment, cut line with a brush axe, and run level rods to obtain elevations while standing or walking for long periods in uneven terrain.

The role requires the ability to travel daily, occasional overnight stays, and the capacity to work unsupervised when needed. Background checks and pre-employment drug screening are part of employment.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, carry, and operate equipment as needed on the project.
• Ability to travel daily. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Can work unsupervised when required.
• Walking outdoors for long periods through diverse terrain and weather conditions.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment from the truck and carry it to the job site.
• Cut line with a brush axe.
• Run level rod to obtain elevations.
• Hold prism pole for horizontal positions.
• Walk long distances over varied terrain, sometimes in water; overnight travel may be required.
