Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking a Survey Technician I to support ground-based utility inspections and data collection. You will learn to capture pole data, take field photographs, and assist with field photography, LiDAR support, and data management under supervision.

The role emphasizes learning client standards, safety practices, and basic transmission and distribution concepts while working with a field crew across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays.
• Ability to work effectively in field crews and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground-based pole inspections under supervision.
• Capture field photos and record pole data to standards.
• Organize and transfer field data daily; support LiDAR and other equipment.
• Support field crew setup, travel logistics, and safety procedures.
