Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a Party Chief in Burnsville, NC to supervise the survey crew, perform topography surveys, field layout, and coordinate with the on-site or off-site survey manager. You will also ensure proper care of survey equipment and stay current with data collection technology.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily surveying operations with project staff and contributing to safety-driven field work across transportation and building divisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in surveying fieldwork and topographic data collection.
• Ability to coordinate with survey manager and project staff for daily operations.
• Commitment to safety policies and procedures on job sites.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pre-employment drug screening requirement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field surveying tasks such as topography, field layout, boundary layout, and data collection.
• Coordinate with the survey manager (offsite if needed) and project management staff for daily operations.
• Care for survey equipment and understand the use of data collection gear and upgrades.
• Possibly operate as a one-person crew or perform other related duties.
