Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) seeks a Party Chief- Field Surveys in Raleigh, NC. The role leads a survey crew in locating vertical/horizontal controls, topographic and boundary surveys, and construction stake-out. You will assist with base mapping and plan development for transportation, energy, and civil/site projects.

Field work is primary (90%), with occasional office tasks. Must have 3+ years of surveying experience, proficient in survey instruments and CAD software, and hold a valid

Qualifications

3+ years of surveying experience.
Experience with Total Stations and data collectors (Trimble, TDS, Carlson) and GPS receivers.
Must pass JMT Motor Vehicle screening.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

Lead field survey crew for vertical/horizontal control, topographic, as-built, and boundary surveys.
Collect data and prepare field notes.
Compile data and upload to project folders.
Verify accuracy of plats/maps and assist with plan preparation as needed.
Coordinate with project managers and technicians on base mapping for transportation and civil/site projects.
