The Walsh Group is seeking a Party Chief to supervise survey crew and perform topography surveys, field layout, and data collection in Asheville, NC. This role involves coordinating with the survey manager and project staff to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather.
• Must comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; may stand, bend, kneel or sit for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field surveying tasks such as topography, field layout, boundary layout, and data collection.
• Ability to coordinate with the survey manager (offsite when needed) and project management staff for daily operations.
• Provide care to survey equipment and understand usage of data collection equipment and upgrades to technology.
• May be required to work as a one-person crew; May perform other related duties as required.
