Archer Wright JV is seeking a Party Chief for the TSENC/I-26 Downtown Connector project in Asheville, NC. The role oversees the survey crew, conducts topography surveys and field layouts, and coordinates with the onsite survey manager to keep daily operations on track.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years verifiable surveying experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to comply with safety policies and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field surveying tasks such as topography, field layout, boundary layout, and data collection
• Coordinate with survey manager, that may be offsite, and with project management staff for daily operations
• Provide care to survey equipment and understand usage of data collection equipment and upgrades to technology
• May be required to work as a one-person crew
• May perform other related duties as required
