Job summary

The Walsh Group – Walsh Construction & Archer Western is seeking a Party Chief for the GDOT SR316 Bundle 2 project in Athens, GA. You will supervise the survey crew, perform topography surveys and field layouts, and coordinate with the jobsite survey manager to ensure accurate data collection and workflow.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of verifiable surveying experience, can lift 50 lbs, and are comfortable working in various weather conditions.

• Coordinate with the survey manager and project staff for daily operations.
• Handle survey equipment and data-collection technology updates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field surveying tasks such as topography, field layout, boundary layout, and data collection
• Coordinate with survey manager (offsite when needed) and project staff for daily operations
• Provide care to survey equipment and understand usage of data collection equipment and upgrades to technology
• May be required to work as a one-person crew and perform other related duties
