Job summary

Audubon Field Solutions seeks an experienced Survey Party Chief to lead field crews across boundary, topographic, route, and utility surveys, with opportunities to work on Laser Scanning and UAS mapping projects. You will manage small crews, ensure safety, quality, and productivity, and coordinate with project managers and office staff.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of field survey experience, strong knowledge of survey procedures, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field survey experience; party chief experience preferred.
• Experience leading survey crews.
• Strong understanding of survey procedures and field calculations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel as project needs require.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise one- to three-person survey crews.
• Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, route surveys, utility surveys, construction staking, and as-built surveys.
• Establish and verify horizontal and vertical survey control.
• Maintain complete electronic field notes and daily reports.
• Coordinate daily activities with Project Managers, Professional Surveyors, and office personnel.
• Safely operate company vehicles and survey equipment.
• Represent Audubon professionally while interacting with clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
