Job summary

Audubon is seeking a skilled Land Survey Crew Chief in Houston, TX to lead a field survey crew performing boundary, topographic, construction staking, ALTA/NSPS, and utility surveys, ensuring data integrity, proper instrument use, and adherence to project timelines on active sites.

You will coordinate with project managers and clients, supervise daily field operations, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards while delivering high-quality survey results in accordance with company

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of land surveying field experience.
Ability to read and interpret survey plans and legal descriptions.
Proficiency with GPS/GNSS and robotic total stations.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a field survey crew on assigned projects.
Perform boundary, topographic, construction staking, as-built, control, route, and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
Set up, operate, and maintain survey instruments and data collection tools.
Establish and verify horizontal and vertical control points.
Collect field data, notes, sketches, photos, and supporting documentation.
Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, clients, and contractors in the field.
Maintain safety practices and ensure compliance with company policies.
