Job summary

KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor ecosystem, hiring a Customer Support Engineer in Utica, NY. The role spends at least 50% of time at customer sites, updating, troubleshooting and repairing highly complex capital equipment.

You will generate field reports, coordinate with installation teams, and use diagnostic tools to drive uptime and customer satisfaction. Minimum qualifications include an associates or bachelor’s degree or 3 years of relevant work

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree or 3 years related experience.
• Ability to work at customer sites and in cleanroom environments.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with complex capital equipment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and solve technical equipment problems via phone, remote access or on-site.
• Repair system-level issues using standard procedures and diagnostics with remote support as needed.
• Ensure equipment supports customer production and document field service activities.
• Prepare quotes with management for equipment repairs and performance issues.
• Mentor and assist other field service engineers; support installation teams with startup.
