Job summary

Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee daily operations at soil stabilization job sites. You will supervise crews, manage schedules, equipment, and materials, and ensure work is performed safely, on time, and per specifications.

The role reports to the Project Manager and requires strong leadership, communication, and plan-reading abilities, with a focus on OSHA compliance and on-site problem solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; construction or civil engineering coursework preferred.
• 5+ years of field supervisory experience in construction/civil engineering/soil stabilization.
• Knowledge of soil stabilization equipment, materials, and field processes.
• Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications and technical documents.
• Understanding of OSHA and construction safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field crews, operators, teamsters, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
• Manage daily work schedules, equipment assignments, and material usage.
• Monitor work quality and compliance with engineering specifications, project plans, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide on-site guidance to crews.
• Implement the project plan developed by the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with logistics and fleet teams to ensure timely delivery of equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Communicate daily progress, challenges, and updates to the Project Manager.
• Support QC & Field Lab Manager by providing access to test sites and assisting with field sampling/testing.
• Enforce all safety policies and OSHA regulations on job sites.
• Maintain accurate daily reports on crew performance, equipment usage, material consumption, and project progress.
