Job summary

Metronet is seeking an OSP Field Supervisor to oversee safe construction per specifications. This frontline role inspects aerial and underground work, leads crews, and acts as a Metronet ambassador in the community.

Responsibilities include walkouts, quality inspections, budget management, and 24-hour strike responses. Growth opportunities exist within a 100% fiber network and a Best Places to Work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3–5 years related experience
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of specifications, standard practices, and safety
• Inspect aerial fiber placement on poles and underground conduit for quality
• Approve all unitized completed aerial work to standards
• Manage the OSP Construction Tracker
• Monitor budgets for assigned work orders
• Respond to utility strikes within 24 hours and document them
• Conduct weekly safety and quality audits of contractors
• Identify training needs and arrange contractor training
• Coordinate safety tailgate meetings in workers' languages
