Job summary

Metronet is seeking an OSP Field Supervisor to lead on-site construction and ensure work meets the company’s safety and technical standards. You will inspect both aerial and underground installations and manage contractor activities across assigned work orders.

Strong communication and organization are essential, as you respond to neighborhood concerns and maintain project quality while working in dynamic field conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience in quality control or outside aerial plant construction.
• Ability to work independently under deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of specifications, practices, and safety.
• Inspect aerial fiber placement on poles and underground conduit installations.
• Approve unitized completed aerial work to standards.
• Manage the OSP Construction Tracker.
• Monitor budget for assigned work orders.
• Investigate utility strikes and document within 24 hours; retrain or terminate contractors as needed.
• Conduct weekly safety and quality audits with contractors.
• Identify training needs and arrange contractor training.
• Ensure safety tailgate meetings are held in workers' preferred language.
