Job summary

Metronet is hiring an OSP Field Supervisor in Albuquerque, NM to lead safe, compliant fiber construction on our nationwide network. You will be the on-site inspector, investigator, and liaison with crews ensuring work meets Metronet's exacting standards.

You will respond quickly to neighborhood concerns, oversee field operations, track progress, and maintain safety and quality across aerial and underground tasks. This role emphasizes leadership, communication, and hands-on oversight.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3–5 years related experience.
• Detail oriented with organizational skills.
• Experience in quality control or outside aerial plant construction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of Metronet specifications, standard practices, and safety.
• Inspect aerial fiber placement on poles and underground conduit installations per specs.
• Approve all unitized completed aerial work to Metronet standards.
• Manage the OSP Construction Tracker and monitor budgets for assigned work orders.
• Respond to utility strikes and complete documentation within 24 hours; retrain or terminate contractors as needed.
• Conduct weekly contractor safety, construction, and quality audits.
• Identify contractor training needs and arrange for training.
• Coordinate safety meetings and tailgates in workers' languages.
