Job summary

Metronet is hiring an OSP Field Supervisor in Oklahoma to oversee safe, high-quality construction of our fiber network. The role blends inspection, investigation, leadership, and contractor management across aerial and underground work.

You will respond to community concerns and ensure adherence to Metronet's standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or 3–5 years related experience), strong organizational skills, and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills.
• Related quality control and/or outside aerial plant construction experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of our specifications, standard practices, and safety.
• Conduct walkouts and inspects aerial fiber cable placement on poles and splice points as well as underground conduit and handholes for quality and correct installation.
• Approve all unitized completed aerial work to Metronet’s standards.
• Manage the OSP Construction Tracker.
• Monitor the approved budget for each assigned work order.
• Respond to utility strikes, conduct investigations, and document strike within 24 hours; retrain or terminate contractor if necessary.
• Conduct weekly safety and quality audits for contractors.
• Identify contractor training needs and arrange training.
• Ensure weekly tailgate safety meetings with crews and arrange language-appropriate safety meetings.
