Job summary
RTC Communications in Southern Indiana is seeking a Field Supervisor to lead the daily I&R workload, perform installations and repairs, troubleshoot field issues, and uphold RTC’s customer‑service standards in the field.
You will coordinate fiber projects, review staking information, mentor technicians, and collaborate with network operations, engineering, and customer service to deliver reliable, high‑quality fiber services.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive experience in broadband installation and repair.
- Hands-on fiber‑optic construction or maintenance experience.
- Ability to coordinate field work and provide guidance to coworkers.
- Degree or related experience preferred; Calix certs are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily workload of I&R technicians and priorities.
- Provide hands‑on leadership with installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate fiber construction work, review staking info and align resources.
- Mentor technicians, reinforce safety, and ensure proper procedures.
- Communicate priorities, field issues, and updates to teams and management.
- Travel to customer premises and RTC work locations as required.
