Job summary

SLSCO LTD in the Southwestern US is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support large-scale CBP border infrastructure Design-Build projects. You will manage day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors and crews, and align construction sequencing with safety and quality teams.

Reporting to the Project Superintendent, you will participate in daily/weekly meetings, monitor schedule and budget, develop site logistics, and ensure documentation is thorough.

Qualifications

• College degree in Construction Management or technical discipline preferred.
• 5+ yrs experience on commercial or civil infrastructure projects (heavy civil preferred).
• Experience with DOD/USACE/NAVFAC a plus.
• 30-hour OSHA certification a plus.
• U.S. Citizenship; valid driver's license; pass background/security checks.
• Ability to speak, read and write fluent English.
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Field Superintendent reporting directly to the Sr Construction Superintendent.
• Interact with client representatives to communicate SLS interests and inputs.
• Interact with subcontractor representatives to manage performance and ensure contract compliance.
• Monitor construction progress for adherence to schedule and budget.
• Assist in developing site utilization plans and traffic plans for logistics.
• Coordinate with Project Management Team to communicate information for project execution.
• Provide input to Project Scheduler on status and forecast plans.
• Maintain daily log and complete daily or weekly reports.
• Ensure non-compliance is communicated to subcontractors and address quality issues.
• Maintain high standards of performance and professionalism on site.
