Job summary

CEC is seeking a Technology Technician to provide skilled maintenance, installation, additions, and repair of structured cabling systems on various projects. You will lay out work, prepare materials, terminate copper and fiber, install racks and cabinets, and troubleshoot complex networks under supervision.

This safety-sensitive role requires the ability to work inside or outside on construction sites, with overtime and night shifts as needed, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of on-the-job communications work experience and technician-level skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass drug and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lay out work and prep materials for installation.
• Terminate copper cables and fiber optic terminations.
• Install cable trays, racks, and network cabinets.
• Perform structured cabling installations per diagrams or blueprints.
• Troubleshoot and repair structured cabling systems.
