Job summary

SuperHero Fire Protection,LLC. seeks an experienced Structured Cabling Technician to install, test, label, and document copper and fiber cabling systems in commercial environments.

You will ensure work is performed safely, to code, and to industry standards while meeting schedule and quality expectations. The role involves installing Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A and fiber cabling, building pathways, terminating and testing cables, labeling, and maintaining as-builts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structured cabling / low-voltage installation experience in commercial environments.
• Ability to read prints, floorplans, riser diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Experience terminating and testing Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A and fiber optic cabling.
• Familiarity with test equipment and certification processes.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure low-voltage cabling per design drawings.
• Build out pathways and supports with proper bend radius and separation from power.
• Terminate copper and fiber per specs using torque/strain relief.
• Test and certify copper and fiber cabling; troubleshoot faults.
• Label cables and maintain as-builts and test results.
• Rack and stack network equipment; coordinate with customers and trades.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite; follow OSHA and safety requirements.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide on-the-job guidance.
• Accurately track time, materials, and daily reports.
