Job summary

CEC Companies in Irving, TX seeks a Technology Technician to support maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems on construction projects. You will work under a Foreman or Superintendent, performing lay out, installation, testing, and repair of copper and fiber cables ensuring adherence to diagrams and blueprints.

Role demands the ability to operate testing equipment, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with field teams.

Qualifications

Must have a current Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Must meet attendance standards and comply with late/absence notification procedures.
Must be able to pass drug and background check.

Responsibilities

Lay out work and preps materials for installation.
Perform overhead and underground layout and rough-in.
Terminate all types of copper cable including coaxial, multi-pair and Category 3 through 6.
Measure, cut, bend, assemble and install cable tray using measuring devices and hand tools.
Assemble and install relay racks, network cabinets, wall fields and associated components.
Perform fiber optic cable installation and terminations of all types.
Perform structured cabling installations in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.
Correctly set up and operate copper and fiber optic testing equipment.
Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and resolve problems in structured cabling systems.
Operate any power and hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.
Perform other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.
