Jefferson County is seeking a skilled Structural Building Inspector to perform field inspections across the county, ensuring compliance with adopted codes and permit requirements. You will review plans, explain code requirements to contractors and property owners, and issue correction notices when deficiencies exist.

The role requires hands-on trade experience, the ability to work independently in the field, and strong communication, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years as inspector or equivalent.
• Experience with residential and commercial construction preferred.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license required.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct field inspections County-wide for structural and safety compliance.
• Review plans and construction documents for code compliance.
• Explain code requirements to contractors and owners.
• Document findings and issue correction notices or stop-work orders.
• Maintain inspection records and reports.
