Job summary

Sage Parts, the world’s largest supplier of GSE parts, is seeking a Field Sourcing Analyst to support sourcing operations by collaborating with cross‑functional partners to optimize aftermarket supply chains for mobile equipment.

The role entails gathering data on equipment, identifying savings opportunities, training local branches on sourcing projects, and maintaining documentation of targets and results. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Passport required.
• Has demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude with mobile equipment (GSE, off-highway vehicles, automotive, material handling, or similar)
• Ability to thrive in high volume work environment
• Ability to lift and handle product weighing up to 25lbs
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to project timelines
• Requires up to 50% travel.

• Improve vendor base by using world-class suppliers and finding alternatives.
• Record measurable cost savings from sourcing efforts.
• Maintain documentation of sourcing targets and results.

Sage Parts is the world's largest supplier of GSE (Ground Support Equipment) and airport-related equipment replacement parts with operations in The United States, Canada, Chile, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Peru, South Africa, The Netherlands, and The United Kingdom. Sage Parts supplies replacement parts and accessories for all types and brands of GSE. Sage provides supply chain management, on site supply services, single source supply, logistics solutions, engineering solutions and other cost reduction programs.

Summary

The Field Sourcing Analyst will support sourcing operations by working with cross-functional partners to achieve goals. Below is a detailed list which includes, but is not limited to, the basic job responsibilities, specifications and qualifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creative, critical thinker, that is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, and a passion to grow their technical depth and GSE product knowledge.
• Willingness to develop domain expertise to identify and optimize supply chains for aftermarket products for industrial and automotive parts, primarily for mobile equipment.
• Gather information around new equipment and understudied fleets to proactively catalog GSE wear and tear items.
• Work with existing branch locations to train and deploy Sourcing projects and principles to maximize cost savings impact.
• Assist in location setup to ensure that local vendors are established, national accounts are linked to the local vendor branches, and centralized savings principles are deployed.
• Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Inventory Control to improve sub-optimized supply chains.
• Professional work ethic and ability to flex communication style to interact with external stakeholders in a diverse setting (mechanics, customer leadership, etc.).
• Willingness to work in hands‑on industrial environments, including around heavy equipment, documenting equipment with photographs, and collaborating directly with mechanics.
• Able to read schematics, including: manuals, parts breakdown lists, blueprints, service bulletins, etc.
• Optimize vendor base by maximizing usage of world class suppliers within product lines and proactively find alternative supply lines.
• Achieve and record measurable cost saving through sourcing efforts.
• Maintain documentation of sourcing process, targets and goals.

REQUIREMENTS / REQUESTED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Passport required
• Has demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude with mobile equipment (GSE, off-highway vehicles, automotive, material handling, or similar)
• Ability to thrive in high volume work environment
• Ability to lift and handle product weighing up to 25lbs
• Demonstrated ability to adhere to project timelines
• Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, French, or German is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Prior Excel skill is a plus
• Requires up to 50% travel.
