Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee safe, productive, day-to-day field operations for a utility-scale solar PV plant. You will lead preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to maximize production and support a cleaner energy future.

This is a field-based role; travel to sites nationwide is required. You will manage safety, maintenance scheduling, documentation, and training, while ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910.

Qualifications

• 3+ years PV maintenance experience including PV DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, substation operations
• Experience with operation of SCADA, DAS and UPS systems
• Skilled in testing equipment such as infrared cameras, drones, IV Curve Tracing, Meggers, Ground Fault Detection
• Experience working with a CMMS platform
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices
• Ability to read electrical single-line and three-line diagrams
• Proficiency with MS Office
• OSHA 10 General Industry certificate
• Must travel and be on-call during off-shift hours and weekends

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar facilities
• Understand NEC code, electrical theory, and best practices
• Perform DC and AC testing including polarity, I-V tracing, grounding, insulation testing
• Maintain maintenance schedules and service reports for solar equipment
• Maintain company property and inventory
• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting training to technicians
• Identify hazards and take corrective action
