Job summary

Clean Harbors in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

The position requires attending a two-week Academy training out of state, paid by the company. Recruiting pay range is $20.00-$22.00 per hour, with comprehensive health benefits after 30 days

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete a background check, drug test, and physical as required by position.
• Must be willing to participate in on-call emergency response on rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies and work safely at all times.
• Engage in physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use a range of hand tools.
• Wear and properly use PPE including respirators and protection gear.
• Work in various temperatures and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Handle hazardous materials and assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, and enter tanks or containers.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
