Job summary

Clean Harbors in Henderson, CO is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

The position requires new hires to attend a two week Academy training out of state, with expenses covered by the company.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required and clean MVR.
• A willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
• On-call emergency response responsibilities may require weekends/holidays.
• Background check and drug test are required by position.
• Familiarity with respiratory protection standards may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the top priority by following policies and procedures.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and hand tools; use PPE properly.
• Work in varied temperatures and potential exposure to hazardous materials.
• Attend compliance and safety update meetings and participate in field sampling as needed.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis every other week.
