Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Field Services Technician to join the on-site IT support team in Fremont, CA. You will provide on-site technical assistance, manage desktop and laptop configurations, and help ensure smooth operation of computer systems.

The role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills, experience with Windows and macOS, and familiarity with Active Directory and security best practices. This position is on-site, Monday through Friday, 8-5, at a LEED-certified campus.

• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop and laptop systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Windows 7/10/11 and macOS; mobile platforms like iOS/Android.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, password security, data integrity, and file system security (BitLocker).

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for desktops/laptops including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assist users with hardware/software issues while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Support conference room tech and collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom).
• Document issues and resolutions in the incident management system and communicate with the team.

Our client, is seeking a dedicated Field Services Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Field Services Technician, you will be an essential part of the IT support team, providing on-site technical assistance and ensuring seamless operation of computer systems and related equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?

• Provide on-site technical support for desktop and laptop systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assist users with hardware and software issues, ensuring high standards of customer service and technical excellence.
• Support conference room technology such as projectors, display screens, telephony equipment, and conferencing tools like Teams and Zoom.
• Maintain security protocols, including password management, data integrity, and file system security.
• Document technical issues and resolutions accurately in the incident management system and communicate effectively with team members and users.

What's Needed?

• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop and laptop systems, including system imaging processes.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, flexibility, and effective time management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact confidently with users and team members.
• Proficiency supporting Windows 7, 10, 11, and Mac OS, including mobile platforms like iOS and Android.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, password security, data integrity, and file system security, including experience with Bitlocker.
