ECS Limited in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a certified Field Services Team Leader to guide and mentor a growing field crew. You will supervise technicians, ensure training, and organize activities across sites to improve efficiency and safety.

The role emphasizes active participation in field activities, adherence to ASTM standards, and collaboration with project managers. A 4+ year background in construction materials testing and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of related experience.
• Must have and be willing to maintain basic certifications.
• Advanced certifications may be required based on work performed.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
• Understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM testing standards.
• Proficient at data interpretation and evaluation of CMT techniques and results.
• Experience performing field and/or laboratory tests on construction materials and evaluating test results for specification compliance.
• Strong understanding of testing techniques in construction materials.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Observe, test, sample, and inspect materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, structural steel) on construction sites.
• Safety: Maintain inventory, calibrate and maintain field equipment, promote safety culture, ensure PPE usage, assist with safety training.
• Communication: Daily coordination with technicians and project managers; assist with scheduling, staff recruitment, and mentoring of junior field staff; participate in project meetings.
