Job description

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Field Services Team Leader to join our Greensboro team. In this role, you will ensure that our technicians are properly trained and organized through supervision within the Field Services department.

Responsibilities
  • Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites.
  • Maintain inventory and organization of supplies; calibrate and maintain field equipment and keep accurate records; promote safety and a safety culture; ensure proper PPE is used on project sites; assist with company-required safety training.
  • Communicate daily with technicians, project managers, and general contractors; collaborate with team leaders to support scheduling operations and recruiting to maintain appropriate staff among your team; assist with management of field staff; mentor and train junior field staff; provide support to project managers and department managers; attend project meetings as requested; may participate in business development, marketing, and client development.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Must have and be willing to maintain basic certifications.
  • Advanced certifications may be required based on the work performed.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
  • Advanced understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM testing standards.
  • Proficient at data interpretation and evaluation of CMT techniques and results.
  • Experience performing field and/or laboratory tests on construction materials and ability to evaluate test results in terms of specification compliance.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials testing and evaluation techniques.
  • Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
