Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking a New Grad Field Service Technician - Electrical Testing to join our team.

You will provide on-site support for electrical systems, perform testing and maintenance in data centers, and help diagnose issues to keep critical power equipment running reliably. You should have an Associate degree in Electrical Power & Controls or related field, basic PC skills, and a willingness to travel locally/regionally.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC) or related field preferred.
Experience with switchgear testing and troubleshooting is a plus.
Proficiency with Excel and basic PC skills; PowerDB is a plus.
Willingness to travel locally/regionally and occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

On-site technical support for electrical systems, including testing and troubleshooting from 480V to 600kV.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections, including transformer and relay tests.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with switchgear, circuit breakers, and relays.
Maintain professional client relationships and respond to emergency calls.
Keep detailed service records, reports, and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on improvement projects.
