Job summary

Wentworth James Group USA is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer in Ohio to install, commission and service industrial machinery at customer facilities across the region.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and controls faults, perform preventative and reactive maintenance, and provide PLC/HMI troubleshooting and operator training as you travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, servo systems, VFDs, robotics or automated production equipment.
• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or related roles (Technician/Controls).

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning new machinery.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and controls faults.
• Preventative and reactive maintenance.

Wentworth James Group is supporting an established industrial machinery manufacturer looking to add an experienced Field Service Engineer to its growing US team. The role

You'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, service and repair of industrial machinery at customer facilities, working across a mixture of mechanical, electrical and controls-related issues.

Typical responsibilities will include

• Installing and commissioning new machinery
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and controls faults
• Preventative and reactive maintenance
• PLC and HMI troubleshooting
• Reading electrical and mechanical drawings
• Testing and calibrating machinery
• Providing technical support and operator training
• Working directly with customers to resolve equipment issues
• Completing service reports and technical documentation
• Travelling to customer sites throughout the region

• Experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell, Siemens, servo systems, VFDs, robotics or automated production equipment
