Job summary

Groe Advisors LLC seeks a Field Service Engineer to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair medical imaging equipment on-site across multiple sites. You will provide remote and telephone support, report data, and ensure timely issue resolution while maintaining up-to-date product knowledge.

The role requires strong problem solving, excellent communication with clinical staff, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic team environment. Travel is substantial, with 75–80% expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/training with related experience.
• Two years of medical equipment service experience in imaging; problem solving.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, LANs, computers and data management.
• Excellent communication with medical personnel and team members.

• Provide high priority site visits to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair system problems, perform preventative maintenance procedures and technical upgrades on instruments and software.
• Provide telephone and remote technical support to resolve equipment related problems.
• Accurately report failure and repair data through company systems and to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain clinical and technical knowledge to stay current with technology and product applications.
• Follow up on customer concerns and bring issues to resolution.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering OR an Associate’s Degree/military training combined with related experience.
• Two (2) year medical equipment service industry experience including demonstrated proficiency in resolving technical problems in medical imaging modality.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Local Area Networks, computers, disk drives and data management.
• Experience with digital volt meters, laser power meters, optical alignment tools and specialized test equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in resolving complex technical problems in medical imaging modality with minimal assistance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact in a professional and responsive manner with highly specialized medical personnel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability and desire to multi-task and a willingness to take ownership through completion of all responsibilities.
• Must be a self-starter, have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be flexible in a dynamic team environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Travel estimated at 75%-80%
• While performing the duties the employee is:
