Job summary

Insight Global is seeking Field Service Engineers to join a leading equipment manufacturer in the semiconductor industry. This role requires traveling to multiple sites to install equipment, with initial weeks focused on tool-set and customer assignments, followed by a 3-week training and ongoing travel every 6-8 weeks.

Responsibilities include installations, troubleshooting, repairs and routine maintenance, with ample OT opportunities and client-arranged travel, lodging, and per diem as part of

Qualifications

• Willing to travel up to 80% nationally.
• Strong troubleshooting and clear communication of thought process when diagnosing maintenance or repair issues.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience using a multimeter (continuity, amperage, voltage, resistance).
• Experience using a torque wrench.
• Familiarity with Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install equipment at customer sites across locations.
• Assist in troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Travel to sites every 6-8 weeks with admin weeks between trips.
• Support during installation and commissioning phases.

Duration: 12 Months (rolling annual contract)

Compensation: $28-$35/hr

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for Field Service Engineers to join a leading equipment manufacturer within the semiconductor industry. This individual will be responsible for traveling to different sites to do installations of the equipment. The first 15 days they will designate what tool set they will be working on and what customers they will be helping do installations for. From there, the first 30 days they will be scheduled for a 3-week training. They will then be traveling every 6-8 weeks to different locations to install the equipment, where they will go home after week 6 each time for an admin week. On top of installations, they will be assisting in troubleshooting, repairs and routine maintenance on the equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Comfortability with up to 80% travel (national)
• Strong troubleshooting skills - ability to speak on thought process on maintenance, troubleshooting, or repairing equipment
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems
• Experience using a Multimeter - Continuity Checks, Amperage, Voltage, Resistance
• Experience working with a torque wrench
• Familiarity with Lock Out Tag Out Process - (LOTO)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working with / troubleshooting robotic equipment
• Experience supporting semiconductor equipment
• Previous military experience as a technician/engineer
