Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an on-site Service Technician to perform maintenance and repair of semiconductor processing equipment in Boise, Idaho. The role requires troubleshooting, coordinating with customers and peers, ordering parts, and providing operator training on system operation and maintenance.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in maintenance or repair of complex systems, strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, and experience with robotic equipment and lithography-focused

• 2 years of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, or repairing equipment
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems
• Experience working with / troubleshooting robotic equipment
• Experience supporting semiconductor equipment preferably lithography

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and maintain records and reports
• Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize downtime
• Order and install parts; respond to emergency service calls as required
• Instruct customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
• Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
• Remain current on equipment/tools through training and manuals
• Maintain security of company property including vehicles and tools

Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions. Orders and installs parts, respond to emergency service calls as required. Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance. Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed. Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials. Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.

Skills and Requirements

• Willing to travel with little notice
• 2 years of experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, or repairing equipment
• Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems
• Associates degree in Electronics or Engineering highly preferred
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working with / troubleshooting robotic equipment
• Experience supporting semiconductor equipment preferably lithography
