Job summary

Flowtec Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical service of industrial rotating equipment, with industrial pump experience strongly preferred.

You will lead equipment installation, startup, and commissioning at customer sites, diagnose issues, and develop corrective actions. The role requires travel up to 25% and a mechanical engineering background. Strong communication and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with industrial machinery.
• Experience with rotating equipment or pumps is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support equipment installation, startup, and commissioning at customer sites.

• Review performance data and develop practical corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance to customers throughout installation, startup, and troubleshooting.
• Document field findings, failures, recommendations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate multiple service activities and respond to urgent customer needs.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to resolve technical issues.
• Share field insights to improve equipment reliability and service processes.
• Travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25%.
• Maintain compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.

What you bring

• 2+ years of experience working with industrial machinery; industrial pump experience preferred.
• Experience with rotating equipment or similar industrial systems is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; equivalent technical education and experience considered.
• Working knowledge of machine design, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of materials.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused, self-directed, and comfortable managing competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
