Job summary

BearCom in Denver is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install and support wireless communications systems. You will be the heart of service locations, delivering top-notch customer service and technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will create basic code plugs, diagnose and repair radios and related equipment, and may travel regionally or be on-call as needed. BearCom offers extensive on-the-job training and certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Service Technician experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Knowledge of battery backup systems, base stations, repeaters, and DAS/BDA concepts.
• Proficiency with MS Office and network concepts.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Create Basic Programming Codeplugs (less than 12 channels).
• Troubleshoot and repair defective two-way radios and wireless equipment.
• Some regional and/or overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
