Job summary

BearCom, the leading distributor of wireless voice, data and video solutions in North America, seeks a Field Technician in Grand Junction, CO. You will install and support complex radio systems, diagnose issues, and collaborate with customers to ensure performance, timeliness and cost-efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and a professional on-site presence. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in service tech, Associate degree in Electronics, CET/Installer certs,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in service tech diagnosing, repairing, and installing radio equipment.
• Experience with Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex in 2-way wireless fields.
• Strong understanding of RF propagation and schematics interpretation.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and service wireless equipment incl. UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and resolve equipment problems with customers.
• Repair devices by replacing defective modules per procedures.
• Install DAS and BDA systems and assess test results on site.
• Prepare quotes, bids, and installation schedules; travel may be required.
