Job summary

BearCom, a leading wireless communications solutions provider, is hiring a Field Service Technician I in the Chicago/Elmhurst area. You will install and support wireless systems, troubleshoot radios, and deliver high-quality service.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, strong radio/telecom knowledge, and a valid driver's license. On-the-job training is provided, with competitive pay and benefits including health insurance and a 401k.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of service technician experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing radio equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Create basic programming codeplugs (less than 12 channels).
• Troubleshoot and repair defective two-way radios and related wireless gear.
• Travel regionally as needed and be on-call when required.
