Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician I to install and support wireless communications systems. You will be central to ensuring reliable service, handling programming, and delivering top-notch customer support in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong electronics knowledge, the ability to interpret schematics, and readiness for regional travel and on-call shifts. Extensive on-the-job training is provided by BearCom.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of service tech experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across freq bands.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Safety and compliance with testing equipment and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Install and support wireless communications systems.
• Create Basic Programming Codeplugs (less than 12 channels).
• Troubleshoot and repair two-way radios and related equipment.
• Some regional/overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
