Job summary

Xylem in Cincinnati is seeking a Field Service Technician Level 1 to join our team. You will start up and commission projects, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot submersible wastewater pumps and control panels at customer sites.

You will work with our team, travel as needed, and receive training on Flygt pumps. A HS diploma and 0–2 years of technical experience are preferred; strong problem solving and MS Office familiarity are beneficial.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of technical work experience, 1 year preferred.
• Electrically and mechanically inclined.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
• Comprehend technical information and communicate it clearly.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and test submersible wastewater pumps.
• Basic troubleshooting of electrical control panels.
• Read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Assist with start-ups and emergency callouts.
• Operate service truck with crane and maintain safety.
