Job summary

Xylem is hiring a Field Service Technician to perform field service activities at customer sites in California. You will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel equipment across multiple business units.

You will manage parts inventory, document service activities, and address safety concerns while delivering exceptional customer service. The role requires strong problem-solving, independence in the field, and the ability to travel to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of technical, mechanical, electrical, diesel, or related field service experience preferred.
• Prior customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for employees, customers, and contractors.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance on customer- and company-owned equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and other equipment issues as applicable to the business unit.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain accurate service documentation.
• Identify, communicate, and address safety concerns at customer sites.
• Deliver high-quality customer service while serving as a primary point of contact in the field.
• Complete service reports and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Demonstrate accountability, innovation, and ownership in daily work activities.
• Collaborate effectively with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently.
• Support multiple customer locations, systems, and technologies as required.
