Job summary

Xylem, a global leader in water technology, is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance on a range of equipment. You will ensure safety, manage parts inventory, and deliver exceptional customer service across multiple client locations in the United States.

The role requires hands-on technical skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and related fields; travel and customer interaction are essential

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-2 years of technical, mechanical, electrical, diesel, or related field service experience preferred.
• Prior customer-facing experience preferred.
• Experience with mechanical equipment, electrical systems, diesel, hydraulics, HVAC, automotive, industrial equipment, pumps, fusion, or related technical fields is a plus.
• Ability to obtain required customer site clearances, including TWIC, DISA, or other site-specific requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card, if required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a safe work environment for employees, customers, and contractors.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance on customer- and company-owned equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and other equipment issues as applicable to the business unit.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain accurate service documentation.
• Identify, communicate, and address safety concerns at customer sites.
• Deliver high-quality customer service while serving as a primary point of contact in the field.
• Complete service reports and required documentation accurately and on time.
• Demonstrate accountability, innovation, and ownership in daily work activities.
• Collaborate effectively with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently.
• Support multiple customer locations, systems, and technologies as required.
