Job summary

SpectrumVoIP, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install equipment at customer sites. You’ll travel daily in a company van to perform installations, maintenance, and support services, with physical work including climbing ladders and lifting 10–50 pounds.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to work independently, and clear documentation of work. Familiarity with TCP/IP, routing, and network cabling is preferred, with travel including overnight where needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 4+ years’ experience as a field service technician servicing commercial segments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no moving violations.
• Familiarity with Mikrotik and Cisco routing/switching equipment a plus.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders up to 12 ft and work outdoors.
• Certifications like CCNA, N+, A+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers as the front line of the company.
• Ethernet cabling installation and termination.
• Install VoIP hardware, phones, and analog gateways.
• Install paging equipment and Camera Systems.
• Configure or reconfigure network routers, firewalls, and peripherals.
• Install door phone equipment and manage inventory.
• Provide general product and service training to new customers.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain company vehicle.
• Document work and note outstanding items.
