Job summary

Pitney Bowes Montgomery, AL is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair postage meters and shipping hardware at client sites. You will troubleshoot equipment, take ownership, and ensure quality work.

The role includes training, tools and a company vehicle, and a Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime. Candidates should have mechanical experience, Windows/PC networking basics, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical systems and hands-on repair.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Willingness to upsell when appropriate to benefit the client and revenue.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for daily travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and upgrade Postage Meters and other shipping hardware at client sites.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, minimize repeat calls for efficiency.
• Review job aids and train clients on operating the equipment.
• Keep clients updated on progress during maintenance or down system situations.
• Grow skillset by working on top‑of‑the‑line products and related devices.
• Contribute to revenue growth through sales leads and billable services.
