Job summary

Schneider Electric’s Field Service Representatives play a key role in servicing power distribution and critical infrastructure equipment across customer sites in the United States. The role includes startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modifications with direct customer interaction.

You will receive direct product training, tools, vehicles, and digital resources. The position is site-based with occasional nonstandard hours and travel to regional or countrywide sites, plus

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree, trade/vocational cert or military training in electrical disciplines.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Thorough understanding of AC/DC power and components.
• 2+ years in field service repair and customer service with UPS systems, power distribution, ATS, PDU, or related equipment.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• English proficiency for customer communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and company digital tools.
• Commitment to safety practices and policies (lock out tag out, etc.).
• Identify hazards and report safety issues.
• NFPA-70E or OSHA experience preferred.
• Safe driving and vehicle operations.
• Experience reading schematics and manuals.
• Ability to write service reports and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site startup, repair, preventive maintenance and field modification of equipment.
• Collaborate with customers, electricians, sales partners and support teams.
• Complete field service reports, expense reports, and data sheets.
• Work with managers to resolve complex escalated issues.
• Engage in ongoing product training and learning.
• Travel regionally or nationwide as needed.
• Assist senior technicians on larger start-ups and projects.
• Collaborate with teams on higher complexity projects.
